Such a Good Try

As a family we gave up TV for Lent this year. This morning Max walked into the kitchen and asked, "Mama, can I watch cartoons?"

"Not today buddy."

"Please may I watch cartoons?" he tried again.

"Max, we gave up TV for Lent, remember?"

He looked up at me with those big eyes and said, "But it's a FEAST day Mama."
