Different Goals
After eating this morning, Max was slumped over my shoulder as I tried to burp him. Aiden looked on anxiously asking if he could help.
So far it's been a bit of a challenge to get Max to burp so when he did, I responded by saying, "Oh...good job buddy!"
Aiden looked at me in total surprise and asked, "How come you never say that when I burp?"

I love it! Now, I'd love to know how you explained that one...
I just told him that little Max has to learn how to do everything. It's important for him to burp so that his little tummy doesn't hurt. However, because Aiden is big enough to know what's about to happen, he only gets a "good job buddy" when he covers his mouth when he burps.
This seemed to explain it all to him:)
Good call, Amy. Molly has recently informed us that since daddy is the only boy in our house that she will have to teach Owen how to burp and pick his nose...but of course, he'll have to do it 'girly' and say 'please excuse me'...
